A former justice minister Lamin Babadinding Jobarteh is currently remanded on police bail for allegedly obtaining money through false pretenses.
The police in Latriya, West Coast Region granted temporary reprieve to Jobarteh after he was questioned for receiving over D500,000 on the pretext of selling a plot of land.
Police spokesperson Supt Lamin Njie confirmed that the former attorney general was taken to the police after failing to transfer ownership of a plot of land he had purportedly sold.
Supt Njie told The Standard the investigation into the matter is ongoing and that the former minister has been reporting to the police.
