Liberia appoints Gambian its Under-20 coach

After four seasons as coach of top Liberian football club LISCR and guiding them to their first league title, Gambian Tapha Manneh, has been appointed coach of the Liberian national men’s Under-20 football team.

According to reports confirmed by sources in Monrovia, Manneh, a former Gamtel FC coach who also served as Gambia U-20 coach, has won the admiration of the Liberian Football Association and the country’s football fans in general after his sterling work at LISCR.

The Gambian is the first and only LISCR manager to win the league title and the first coach in the Liberian league to do so unbeaten.

The Liberia Football Association is expected to unveil the Gambian as the new coach of its U-20 team today. Manneh’s contract is for two years.
