He said when Fatou met Hamat at a shop, he asked her what exactly transpired between her and the stepmother. Fatou referred him to the stepmother. This angered Hamat who could not control himself. He then started punching her on the nose and she bled. Fatou shouted for help after which she was escorted to Kanifing General Hospital where she was treated. She later travelled to Senegal for further medical treatment.
