A recent statement from the NSC stated that this year’s event has another significance as it is the Golden Jubille year with all the razzmatazz in the offing as the nation celebrates half a century of exisence. This is the second time May Day sports will be organised by the NSC after it was taken away from the GNOC in the wake of the recent dispute between the two.
According to the NSC statement,this years’s edition too will be staged at the July 22 Square and all intending partcipating companies are urged to attend Monday’s meeting at the Independence Stadium to be chaired by NSC chairman King Kolley.
Last year, over 60 institutions and about 15000 participants took part in the event.
