Almost a week after their re-arrest and charge with unlawful assembly, the leadership of the Three Years Jotna group yesterday morning reported to the police headquarters in Banjul.
The members of the proscribed movement, on trial for almost a year, were freed by a magistrates’ court last week but immediately re-arrested and slapped with the same charges the court freed them from.

After reporting to the police as part of their bail agreement, the police detained them for about six hours before telling them to report back next month.
London-based barrister Yankuba Darboe, one of the charged persons, said their re-arrest and re-arraignment are “part of a plan to frustrate” their movement.
