Real Estate tycoon Saul Frazer has been elected president of the Gambia Lawn Tennis Association, GLTA. Mr Frazer was elected along with several other prominent personalities like Julius Freeman, Vice President, Papa Laye Gaye, Secretary General, Ousainou Jatta, Treasurer, and Haddy Fatty, Asst. Secretary General into a new executive, on Saturday.
Commenting on his election on Facebook, Mr Frazer said: “I got elected as the president of the Gambia Tennis Association on Saturday and I am humbled and honored to take up this role of leadership. I would like to thank the founders of the GLTA and the outgoing executive for a job well done and giving us a foundation to work on.
Tennis is a sport that I am passionate about and I truly believe it can become a competitive sport in The Gambia”.
Frazer said during his tenure as president, he and his executive will strive to make tennis both a professional sport for some and leisure for others
“We cannot wait to see what the future holds for tennis in The Gambia as we work towards creating and developing talents,” he said. Frazer and team succeed Sheriff Jammeh who and team have been steering the affairs of the association for the last several years.
