Gambia national football team defeated Morocco’s CHAN Team 2-1 in a friendly played in Marakecsh yesterday. Assan Ceesay scored both goals for The Gambia. Scorpions will not be in action again until March 2018 when they host Algeria in Banjul in the second game of the 2019 Afcon qualifiers. The national team was invited by the Moroccan FA who are preparing for their CHAN team for the African nations cup of domestic players to be hosted in Morocco next year. The Scorpions are due back on Wednesday morning.
The match in Morocco was watched by the Gambian ambassador Alasanna Jammeh.
