The Super Nawettan moves on this evening with no dull moment as the last four zones battle for a place in Saturday’s final. Bakau who after moving land and sky to reach this far can now be forgiven for putting on a heightened self-confidence in this tourney are already sounding the drum for a possible cup triumph. Without suspended coach Sainey Sanyang, Bakau’s long list of veterans will unofficially join the backroom staff to take the team through what they consider to be a ripe moment for a Bakau triumph.
But against Coach Abou Sallah’s Serekunda West the defending champions, Bakau knows the task ahead is herculean. Serekunda West has graduated in the last 12 months to be a well-organised zone with an insatiable desire to retain the cup they won against all odds last year.
The match at Serekunda West though looks all the more intriguing. Surprise package BEM are hoping to build on their giant-killing form that saw them beat Brikama and later Lamin. But can they stretch their fairy tale story when they meet Serekunda East this evening?
