According to our sources, a high-powered delegation composed of officials from both the GNOC bureau and those opposed to them as well as the Government of The Gambia are attending the Lausanne talks.
They include, from the GNOC side, President Momodou Dibba, Secretary General Peter Prom and board member Mary Samba. The president of The Gambia Cricket Association Jonny Gomez, from the camp opposed to the GNOC bureau is also on the trip.
The delegation from the government side comprises Aboulie Kah, deputy permanent secretary at MoYS, Legenju Vitalise, from the Ministry of Justice and two other officials from the Ministry of the Interior and the Office of the President. It is expected that the talks at the IOC will lead to a permanent resolution to the crisis that has seen the closure of the GNOC offices and deep division among its membership.
