The Gambia lost 1-0 to Ghana last night in knock-out for place in the Wafu Nations Cup quarter finals.
The Ghanaians hit the net in the 66th minute and that was enough to see them through.
The Gambia now join the ranks of Mauritania, Guinea Bissau and others who lost their knockout matches to play in the lower competition called the Plate also organised by Wafu in Thies, Senegal
