Health authorities last night confirmed that two more cases of Covid-19 have been registered in the country.
Both patients are Gambians and female aged 24 and 26 respectively who have recently returned from Senegal.
Both were intercepted at Amdalai border post and taken into quarantine on 15 June.
The 26-year-old was asymptomatic.
Eighteen new persons were taken into quarantine and seven have been discharged after testing negative upon completion of the mandatory quarantine period.
Out of the 18 newly quarantined persons, ten flew into the country from the USA. Nine of them are Gambians and one British.
The remaining eight quarantined individuals were picked from different locations after it was learnt that they have a recent travel history to a country with ongoing community transmission.
The health authorities reported that there are a total 254 in quarantine with two probable cases.
There are a total 11 active cases.
