BRING BACK OUR FOOTBALL

A group of people among them officials of football clubs yesterday organised a press conference at the Jokor Gardens Westfield to denounce what they called the deteriorating state of Gambian football . Clad in propaganda T|Shirts labeled ‘Bring Back Our Football’ the stakeholders also accused the GFF management of unwise spending among other things. They also decried the current poor results in Gambian football.

According to Sang Mendy writing from the venue the stakeholders further accused the Bajo led administration for spending almost 40 million dalasis to refurbish 40 rooms at the FIFA Gold Project also called Gambia Technical Training Center at Yundum.
They alleged that the GFF claimed to have spent almost 40 million dalasis to refurbish and furnish the facilities at the center.

Reading the statement on behalf of the group that called themselves football stakeholders Lamin Jarju, said rooms at the NTTC do not exceed 3-meter square in size.
“The Stake-holders find this impossible to believe that a person can spend almost one million dalasis to refurbish and furnish a single room of the size 3-metre square,” Lamin read.
Jarju said, they as stakeholders are calling on the Kaba led administration to come out and refute their claims in public.
