The crises in the Brikama Youth and Sports Association BYSA, has now reached the police in Brikama who are reported to have charged and bailed the chairman of the supposed Normalisation Committee Ma- Saikou Bojang with breach of the peace after he allegedly interrupted a live radio programme.
This latest episode to the BYSA crises occurred on Tuesday night as members of the BYSA were on air in a regular sports program on community radio FMB.
Curious listeners who heard the commotion on air gathered at the premises of the radio station. According to reports the presenter of the programme Big Sam International had to stop the show and replaced it with interlude of music. Following the incident the BYSA secretary general Alhagie Darboe and Organishing Committee chairman Sainey Gibba consequently reported the matter to the Brikama Police which led to charges against Mr Bojang.
However to according to reports local elders and authorities are working hard to settle the matter between the various contenders in the impasse.
