By Modou Lamin Beyai Italian Serie A club Chievo Verona have recalled Gambia striker Ali Sowe from AC Prato before dashing him out on loan to another third-tier side US Vibonese Calcio. The 22-year-old Scorpion and former Gambia U20 striker, who is at his seventh club on loan, will be involved in a relegation dog fight at Vibonese who are currently at the bottom of the Lega Pro league standings. “I believe in myself and I am not thinking much about the team’s position but I’m ready to do my part and I welcome this challenge,” Sowe, who made his Gambia debut under then-manager Paul Put said when asked if he knows the task ahead. Sowe, in recent times, has been blighted by series of injuries undermining his ambition to break into parent club Chievo’s first team. Since joining Chievo from local side Gamtel in 2012, the 6ft 3in has been farmed out to six clubs on loan namely Juve Stabia, Pescara, Latina, Modena, Lecce and Prato. The attacker has scored six league goals since turning professional, five of which was at Juve Stabia in the 2013/2014 Serie B season. He marked his Vibonese debut at the weekend when they lost 1-0 away to league leaders Matera Calcio. The former Serrekunda United and Gamtel starman will be at the Vibo Valentia-based club until June 2017.]]>
