Views ranging from upgrading of the national football league to actual operational experience of individual clubs, the Super Nawettan, schools sports, role of media, funding of the game to technological transformation of the Gambian game among others were heard and deliberated on.

Sports Minister Alieu Jammeh who opened the gathering asked the participants to use their expertise to provide adequate information for the consultant to collate. He said football should be a collective responsibility of all and not a monopoly of any person or group.

Lamin Camara, the chairman of the Referees Committee who presented a paper on the much-adored Super Nawettan said the tournament started as a championship among teams in Banjul but in no time it was changed to zonals with stunning success and popularity that grew by the day until now that it has spread to be a 12-zone tourney, covering communities in Banjul, Kanifing Municipality and West Coast Region.

Commenting on the forum, a former executive member of the football association opined that the authorities should this time be practical with the recommendations from the forum unlike previous ones when similar recommendations were left to gather dust.  Read subsequent editions for detailed individual presentations at the forum.
