This will be his third attempt to qualify for this prestigious tournament. In previous attempts, Drammeh could not make the second round of the qualifiers, stopping only at the first round. But this time he is upbeat about his chances:” I don’t want to make a statement but I think am both physically and mentally close to my full game this time”,  he told   The Standard yesterday.

Drammeh who is sponsored by the Qatar Ambassador to The Gambia said he is very much delighted with another chance to seek a break into one of golf’s most prestigious tournament. “Am very grateful to my sponsor  and the encouragement of all my fellow golfers at the Fajara Club. There are even better golfers in The Gambia and all we need is support to compete internationally for the much needed experience,” he said.

The first round of the qualifiers start on April 18, Maryland.
