Gambia’s international goalkeeper Alhagie Jobe alias Toldo has returned to Saint Louis (Ndar) to rejoin his Linguere side for preseason training.
The Senegalese league commences end of November.
Linguere was relegated to the Senegalese 2nd tier after finishing 13th position in the 14-team league, but would continue to play in the Senegalese Premier League apparently taking the place of Ouakam who were handed a seven-year ban following the crowd trouble which left eight people dead during the League Cup final against Stade de Mbour.
The LSFP’s disciplinary committee said it holds US Ouakam “exclusively responsible” for the tragedy at the Stade Demba Diop on 15 July.
Alhagie Jobe told The Standard: “It will be hard for us because they brought young players who have no experience in the league. We will continue with the same coach [Aziz] that end the league last season.”
