Recently, Ousman Jallow and his HJK Helsinki lifted the Finnish League Cup against Abdou Jammeh’s Rop. Both Gambians played in that match with Ous coming as a substitute. Another member of the victorious team Demba Savage who was out with injury, is reported to be recuperating.  A few days ago a certain Gambian Kemo Darboe is said to have signed for Oulu F again in Finland. Yesterday, a popular Gambia football facebook page Gamba F league reported on the Gambians in Malta. According to the page Ousman Koli and Alieu Darbo of Mosta FC in the Maltese Premier league last Saturday lost against Tarxien Rainbows costing them them a Europa league spot. They are now focusing on the remaining games in a bid to finish the league on a good standing. The page also reporte in the presence in Oman of two Gambians FC, Bura Ebrima Camara and Muctarr Jallow playing for Jalaal. These boys, plus the American exports of Kekuta Manneh, the Nyassi brothers and the flamboyant Ken Mansally, all suggest a good mix of foreign based players who can be blended with the local boys who beat Mauritania last month. “The Scorpions are back”, said one commentator yesterday. “But where is the coach?,” said another.
