The venue for the next event had been left out in the official closing ceremony at the just ended LRR event following observations that the event is now too big to be automatically decided without thorough analysis. Officials hinted at the LRR event that the next one will be opened for bidding by interested hosts.
A very happy URR Governor Omar Sompo Ceesay confirmed yesterday that he has received a letter from the National sports Council informing him that URR has won the bid to host the 2016 Nayconf. “We are extremely happy and ever ready to host the nation’s youths and I can tell you that we have the best record as host since 2001,” he said. Governor Ceesay said preparations will start immediately with a meeting planned for next Friday while the local organising committee could be put in place as soon as next month. ”It is a challenge but we are up to the task I can assure you,” he concluded.
