Jankey Bojang, a defender with Brikama United’s female team passed away yesterday, the club announced on its Facebook page.
Jankey who played as a central defender died in Kanfenda where she was undergoing treatment. Due to her long illness, she did not play for the team the whole of the past season. She was laid to rest in her native Casa Kunda village.
A tribute from the club reads: “Jankey was beautiful both by looks and behavior and discipline was her greatest virtue.
