The stakeholders also urged the football world governing body to repeal the decision and allow the current GFF board to continue in office until their AGM on July 19 when they will face a confidence vote as directed by Fifa itself.
In a letter addressed to the world football governing body and copied to the press, the stakeholders expressed shock and dismay at the news of the dissolution of the GFF by Fifa and the appointment of a Normalisation Committee arguing that the reason given by Fifa does not truly reflect on the current state of affairs in the country’s football. The letter then went on to address several items on the whole football saga involving the Under-20 as well as explaining their version of the state of football in the Gambia.
