Jarju was speaking to The Standard just after celebrating their Knock –out title, their first in over 15 years in Bakau football. “We intend to be at divisional level in the coming years. We nearly got there in 2007,” he said.
Jarju said since most of the players in his team are already playing in first division, it makes sense for them to aim for the league now.
But he said Katchically will always remain a community team.
“We want to establish this team to be very strong and have close links with the community that has been supportive of our efforts over the past years,” he said.
He added: “Speaking at a personal level, winning the Bakau Knock-out trophy is the most glorious moment of his career yet. Bringing young players together since at childhood to build this team was not an easy thing but I have managed to bring it up, up to this stage.”
