Musa Jatta of Steve Biko FC has been banned for the remainder of the season for allegedly hitting and persistently using abusive language against a match official in their game against Marimoo FC on Friday, according to reports from the GFF Newsletter released yesterday.
According to the newsletter, another Biko player, goal keeper Yaya Sidibeh has been warned to desist from attempting to attack match officials.
Also, Armed Forces FC have been fined D2500 for the loss of a match ball which was deliberately kicked out of the playing vicinity by their official during a match against Gamtel at the Serekunda East Mini Stadium.
According to the GFF the match ball was never returned prompting the Organising Committee to fine the soldiers D2500.
“Accordingly, their Kits Manager Mass Lowe, who was accused of deliberately kicking the ball out of the mini stadium was suspended,” the Newsletter reported.
Patrick Mendy, also of Armed Forces FC, has been warned strictly to desist from using abusive language during matches. Mr Mendy has been told that such actions would result in severe penalties in the future.
